Financial AID Info/FAQ's

The Toledo Celtics Soccer Club understands that soccer, especially at the premier level, can be a very expensive sport. As part of our commitment to the community and to help meet these costs, the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club awards financial aid to those who demonstrate need. We encourage all families who feel they need assistance to apply. Financial aid is awarded based on financial need and availability within the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club Scholarship Fund.

Toledo Celtics has no obligation to award financial aid to all applicants. Incomplete applications, or those submitted without required documentation, may be returned to the applicant without further review. If there is a high volume of applications received, an interview may be a part of the application process.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I apply?

To apply for financial aid, a written application must be completed. All requested documents must be submitted, along with any documents needed to support extenuating circumstances. This information will help determine the amount awarded.

Who qualifies for financial aid?

Any Toledo Celtics member who is suffering financial hardship may apply. When reviewing applications, income levels are reviewed to determine awards. Extenuating circumstances are considered. It is important to give as much information as possible to ensure the Toledo Celtics understands each situation.

What if I send in my application late?

The application will still be reviewed, but the award may be limited by the funds available.

What does financial aid cover?

Financial aid is given to help cover player fees. We do not provide financial aid towards the  cost of uniforms. However, we do consider uniforms as an anticipated cost and try to  provide higher levels of assistance for fees to help lower the total cost of soccer. Other  expenses such as equipment and travel are excluded.

When are applications due?

Completed applications are due July 31. The committee will hope to notify applicants of  determinations by August 15.
