Info/FAQ's
Financial Aid
The Toledo Celtics Soccer Club believes that cost should not be the reason a player is unable to participate in club soccer.
Financial aid is available for families who demonstrate financial need. The club reviews each application carefully and confidentially, using both the information provided by the family and a consistent internal review process.
Financial aid is not guaranteed, and awards depend on demonstrated need, available funding, and the completeness of the application.
How to Apply
Families should complete the Toledo Celtics Financial Aid Application using the link on this page.
The application asks for basic player and family information, household income, household size, number of players in the club, housing costs, hardship information, and the amount of aid requested.
Families will also be asked to upload supporting documents.
Documents Needed
To complete the application, families should be prepared to upload:
- Most recent federal tax return
- W-2s, 1099s, or recent pay stubs
- Any additional hardship documentation, if applicable
Examples of hardship documentation may include medical bills, proof of reduced work hours, dependent care costs, emergency expenses, or other documents that help explain the family’s situation.
If a document does not apply to your family, you may explain that in the application.
How Applications Are Reviewed
The club reviews financial aid applications using a consistent internal review process. The review may consider:
- Household income
- Household size
- Number of players in the club
- Player fees
- Housing costs
- Extraordinary hardship costs
- Public assistance
- Job loss, reduced hours, or medical hardship
- The amount the family says they can reasonably pay
- The amount of aid requested
- Supporting documentation
The review tool gives the club a recommended aid amount. That recommendation is only a starting point. Club leadership reviews the application before any final decision is made.

What Financial Aid Covers
Financial aid is intended to help reduce Toledo Celtics player fees.
Financial aid does not directly cover uniforms, equipment, tournament travel, hotel costs, or other outside expenses. However, the club understands that those costs affect families and may consider the total financial burden when reviewing an application.
Application Deadline
Families are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Priority deadline:
July 31
The club hopes to notify families of financial aid decisions by August 15.
Late applications may still be reviewed, but awards may be limited depending on available funds
.
Confidentiality
All financial aid applications and supporting documents are treated confidentially.
Application information is reviewed only by authorized Toledo Celtics leadership involved in the financial aid process. Families should make sure all information submitted is accurate and complete.
Incomplete applications or applications submitted without required documentation may be delayed or returned for additional information.
Important Notes
Submitting an application does not guarantee financial aid.
Financial aid awards apply only to the current soccer year and do not automatically renew. Families must reapply each year if assistance is needed.
Financial aid may be adjusted, denied, or withdrawn if information is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or if payment arrangements are not followed.
