Collegiate Soccer Placement

The Toledo Celtics Soccer Club has a highly successful history of developing and placing our players into highly competitive collegiate soccer programs.  We take a great amount of pride in not only preparing our players for the next level of soccer, but also helping them throughout what can be a confusing and sometimes overwhelming college recruiting process.  Over the past 30 years, we have established an extensive network throughout the national soccer community that allows to understand, develop and prepare players for the challenges of collegiate soccer.

The Toledo Celtics has placed players across every spectrum of varsity collegiate soccer, ranging from NCAA Division I, II and III, as well as NAIA, NCCAA and Junior College programs.  With several of our professional coaching staff having not only coached at the collegiate level, but also carrying collegiate playing experience, we understand both the recruiting process as well as the demands of being a college student-athlete.

The Toledo Celtics work extensively to develop a comprehensive player development model that includes a highly competitive schedule with maximum exposure for our players through both collegiate showcases and the best leagues that Region II has to offer.  For example, our season schedule includes competition in the Total Sports Wixom during the winter season, and in the spring, we compete in the MRL and AFL, as well as top national collegiate showcases such as the Annandale Premier Cup, Adidas Blue Chip Showcase, Disney Soccer Showcase, and Crossroads of America Showcase.

For a more current example, the spring 2016 U18 team had a roster of 17 players, and 13 of those players are either currently playing college soccer, have been recruited and accepted opportunities to play on a varsity college program next year, or are in the process of being recruited in the class of 2017.  That is equivalent to 76 percent of our team continuing their career at the collegiate level, and that is a testament not only to our player development program, but also to our club members and families who have worked very hard to achieve these great opportunities.

The Toledo Celtics Soccer club is committed to the overall development of our players, and if collegiate soccer is a goal for your son or daughter, we offer a proven and successful path to achieve these goals.
