Kirk Brazeau brings a positive blend of soccer knowledge, familiarity and success to the Toledo area soccer community.  As both a player and coach in our community for the past 26 years, Kirk has a fantastic grasp of what is needed for our local youth to excel.  During his tenure, Kirk has been able to build arguably the most decorated resume of any coach in the Northwest Ohio, with positive player development, team success and collegiate player recruitment all benchmarks of his teaching model.  For example, Kirk was recognized as the 2017 NSCAA National Boys Coach of the Year, 2016 USYS Region II Boys Competitive Coach of the Year, 2017 NSCAA East Region Boys Coach of the Year, 2016 Ohio North Boys Competitive Coach of the Year, and the 2014 Ohio North Director of Coaching Award for his contribution and work within the development of the Toledo Soccer Community.  Kirk was also recognized in 2017 by the Toledo City Council and Mayor of Toledo with a Proclamation of Recognition for Excellence for his contribution and impact upon the City of Toledo.

Since 2012, Kirk has been serving as the Director of Coaching for the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club, and the club has experienced unprecedented robust growth and achievement during this time.  Prior to this, Kirk spent 3 years as the Men’s First Assistant at Adrian College and helped to lead the program to its two best finishes in school history.  Kirk also served as the Varsity Head Coach for both Boys and Girls programs at Temperance Bedford HS, where he earned District Coach of the Year and Monroe Evening News Regional Coach of the Year awards.  Kirk is also a member of the Board of Directors for the NWOYSL, the Ohio North ODP Coaching Staff for players and the instructional staff for coaching education.

Kirk currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National, National and Director of Coaching Diplomas, making him one of the more highly educated and respected coaches in the Toledo area.  Kirk works specifically with the advanced age groups (U15-U19) who are in preparation for their high school varsity teams, as well developing players for their collegiate recruitment.  Kirk has worked very closely to develop several players who have achieved great individual awards, ranging from High School All-League, All-Region and All-State accolades, Club National Championship Best XI players, as well as All-Conference, All-Region and All-American selections at the collegiate levels.
