Lee Aliakbar


Coach Lee has been at the helm of the Toledo Celtics Soccer club since our inception in 1987, and carries a wealth of knowledge, experience and expectation as the C.E.O. of the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club. Coach Lee holds an N.S.C.A.A. Advanced National Diploma, and has also taught F, E, and D license courses for USSF. Coach Lee has been the Head Varsity Soccer Coach at St. Francis de Sales High School since 2007, as well as was the Varsity Girls’ Associate Head Coach for Perrysburg High School, and helping to guide the team to a #16 national ranking. Coach Lee was also a JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for St. John’s High School, and has worked and instructed with Ohio North ODP program as well. Coach Lee carries a wealth of playing experience as he was a part of the Under 17 and Under 19 Iranian Junior National teams during his youth career, and then further developed at the professional level with the famous Tehran Javan soccer club in Tehran, Iran and later joined Share Ziba. Coach Lee polished his professional career resume when joining Bonyad Mostazafan.


Kirk Brazeau


Director of Coaching

Kirk Brazeau brings a positive blend of soccer knowledge, familiarity and success to the Toledo area soccer community.  As both a player and coach in our community for the past 26 years, Kirk has a fantastic grasp of what is needed for our local youth to excel.  During his tenure, Kirk has been able to build arguably the most decorated resume of any coach in the Northwest Ohio, with positive player development, team success and collegiate player recruitment all benchmarks of his teaching model.  For example, Kirk was recognized as the 2017 NSCAA National Boys Coach of the Year, 2016 USYS Region II Boys Competitive Coach of the Year, 2017 NSCAA East Region Boys Coach of the Year, 2016 Ohio North Boys Competitive Coach of the Year, and the 2014 Ohio North Director of Coaching Award for his contribution and work within the development of the Toledo Soccer Community.  Kirk was also recognized in 2017 by the Toledo City Council and Mayor of Toledo with a Proclamation of Recognition for Excellence for his contribution and impact upon the City of Toledo.

Since 2012, Kirk has been serving as the Director of Coaching for the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club, and the club has experienced unprecedented robust growth and achievement during this time.  Prior to this, Kirk spent 3 years as the Men’s First Assistant at Adrian College and helped to lead the program to its two best finishes in school history.  Kirk also served as the Varsity Head Coach for both Boys and Girls programs at Temperance Bedford HS, where he earned District Coach of the Year and Monroe Evening News Regional Coach of the Year awards.  Kirk is also a member of the Board of Directors for the NWOYSL, the Ohio North ODP Coaching Staff for players and the instructional staff for coaching education. 

Kirk currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National, National and Director of Coaching Diplomas, making him one of the more highly educated and respected coaches in the Toledo area.  Kirk works specifically with the advanced age groups (U15-U19) who are in preparation for their high school varsity teams, as well developing players for their collegiate recruitment.  Kirk has worked very closely to develop several players who have achieved great individual awards, ranging from High School All-League, All-Region and All-State accolades, Club National Championship Best XI players, as well as All-Conference, All-Region and All-American selections at the collegiate levels.

Yadi Aliakbar

Coach Yadi played for Toledo Celtics Soccer Club for 12 years, and is currently a staff coach for the club. As a player, he guided his team to one State Championship as well as one State Finalist. Coach Yadi was among the top 120 players in the United States who trained in Cocoa Beach, FL under USL for the United States National ODP in 2004 and 2005 and he was a member of the Ohio North State Team that went to Regionals in 2006 and 2007. Coach Yadi went on to play collegiately at Owens Community College and Adrian College. He currently holds his USSF E License and his Youth 10/12 License as well.

Yousef Aliakbar

Coach Yousef played for the Toledo Celtics for over 10 years, and is highly familiar with the Celtics philosophy and style of soccer. He was selected among the top 100 players in the country to participate in the Super-Y National ODP camp. Yousef then played college soccer at both Owens Community College, where he earned Academic All-American, and the College of Wooster, where he was top scorer and captain of the Varsity team his senior year. During this time he earned his National Youth Diploma, a license with a focus on youth training. Yousef then took a position in Phoenix, Arizona with Teach for America and continued his education at Arizona State University. He has returned to the Toledo area and is now working with many of the Toledo Celtics teams.

Sam Awad

Coach Sam has a long history with Toledo Celtics, as he has worked in a variety of capacities with the club for the past 15 years. Coach Sam earned his USSF E License this past spring and is currently in the process of completing his USSF D License. Coach Sam works primarily with our high school age groups.

Nate Baer

Coach Nate is one of our newest staff members, and currently serves as the Head Coach for the Ottawa Hills High School Boys Varsity Program. Coach Nate earned his USSF E License this past spring, and works primarily with our high school age groups.

Jamie Brower

Coach Jamie is currently a coach at St. John’s Jesuit high school, and played for the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club for 4 years, and currently serves as a staff coach for the club. Jamie was a captain of his Maumee High School Varsity team, and also went on to play collegiately at Adrian College where he served as team captain and was a two-time all-conference selection. Coach Jamie holds his USSF E License, and is in the process of completing his USSF D License.
